Quoth the Raven

Quoth the Raven
                ‘Nevermore’

Named so well
                in ‘Nevermore’

But then so uncouth

How dark
                dreary
                                and silent
Could ‘Nevermore’ be?
                a dark silhouette
                                on the bust of Pallas
In ‘Nevermore’
                is an answer

One already known,
                only a dark reminder
                                is ‘Nevermore’

This raven of truth
                and lies,
Only to discern
                is set.

Can truth from lies,
                Tainted by thought,
                                Be separated?

Only a thought,
                Be it truth,
                                or lie
                can ‘Nevermore’ bring.

Only thought
                can bring separation
                                of lie from truth.

Of ‘Nevermore’
                is nothing else heard
                                only that first truth
                and lie.
